Trichy, Trichy Corporation 8.9 acres of land in Panjapur is finalized for handing over to Tidal Park Ltd., a state-owned joint venture Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO) and Electronic Corporation of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT) for construction of an office space for IT and ITES companies in Trichy city.
The elected council of the urban local body has passed a resolution to assess the value of the land before handing it over to Tidal Park.
Officials said the management of Tidale Park Limited had sent a letter to the Trichy Corporation on April 28, 2023 seeking 10 acres of land at Panjapur on Trichy Madurai NH.
The state industries department has also allocated Rs 600 crore in the budget 2023-24 for the project in Trichy. After inspection at several places, the urban local body informed that 8.9 acres of corporation land in Panjapur revenue village is viable for the proposal.
“The council has passed a resolution approving the land transfer and estimating the land value of the property to complete the land transfer,” said an official source. While site inspection at Panjapur was conducted in March 2023, the site for Tidal Park was selected based on its proximity to the upcoming Integrated Bus Terminus.
