BDA starts allotment in housing projects, Real Estate News, ET Real Estate

Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Development Authority ,BDA) has started the process of allotment of houses in the name of one of its housing projects Daya Enclave It is built at K9 B Bhagwanpur on the outskirts of the city.

In the housing project, the BDA is offering 128 units of two BHK apartments for the middle-income group. The BDA has asked prospective buyers to visit its official website and register to participate in the lottery system for allotment of houses.

As per the procedure defined by the BDA, one has to register on the link provided on their website by mentioning all their details such as name, family details, income, whether the property is in BDA or Municipal Corporation area.

A person who wants to buy a housing unit here will have to pay a security deposit of Rs 2 lakh and the remaining amount in two separate installments. The BDA has two types of apartments, priced at Rs 51.6 lakh and Rs 49.6 lakh, respectively.

The BDA in the brochure mentions that the project comprises four residential blocks comprising 128 two BHK housing apartments and other amenities like community hall, parking facilities, garden, play area and power back-up facility.

“The online registration for allotment of houses in the project will continue till July 7. We will see the response of the buyers and will allot the homes based on the defined norms. It is one of the best located projects in the city,” BDA Vice President Balwant Singh Said.

Such a project by BDA for middle income group has come in the city after almost seven years. It was last made in 2016. The BDA had then offered two housing projects named Paikrapur Phase I and Paikrapur Phase II for this category. “The price tag of Rs 50 lakh is not affordable. Private developers are offering the same price. Debesh Jena said, “The government should cut the price for people like us.”
