Gurugram: The Town and Country Planning Department (DTCP) has written a letter to the Tehsildars of Farrukhnagar. Garhi Harsaru Registry of properties should not be done in 50 colonies built illegally on agricultural land in the last five years.
District town planner (enforcement) Manish Yadav told TOI that he shared the list of colonies built in violation of rules with tehsildars on Friday. He also gave information about zamindars and khasra (village land).

At the demolition of a colony in Farrukhnagar earlier this year, home buyers gathered at the spot and appealed to the DTP not to demolish their houses as they had invested their hard-earned money.
Yadav said that home buyers should inquire with the DTP office before purchasing property or land.
According to DTCP officials, criminals are building illegal colonies on agricultural land in violation of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975.
Section 7A of the Act states that the sale deed for a plot of land less than 1 acre can be registered only if the DTCP has provided a No Objection Certificate.
