Bangalore: State Housing Minister BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan proposed on Wednesday Karnataka Housing Board ,KHBConsider building 1,000 villas on the 500 acres available to the department on the outskirts of Bangalore, The proposal was made in the review meeting of the officials of the board and the housing department.
Justifying the reasons for the proposal of the villa, Khan has told the officials that Bengaluru has gained a lot of international fame and a large number of industrialists and VVIPs come from abroad to permanently reside around the city.
It is said that the proposal looks to build 250 villas in all five directions of Bengaluru and 10,000 sq ft palatial homes may be offered for the purpose. He specified that the villa should be located “among nature”.
before he instructed KHB The authorities will plan five hi-tech cities or satellite townships with modern facilities on 2,000 acres of land with 30,000 sites and 5,000 houses at each of these locations. These include the proposal of the villa.
The move would mean that all these proposed five hi-tech cities would have a total of 1.5 lakh sites and 25,000 homes.
The entire project is being envisaged on 50:50 Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model with land losers to avoid land acquisition cost for KHB.
