Colonists accused Haryana Urban Development Authority ,HudaClaiming to have adopted a pick-and-suck policy during the drive, a temple built illegally along the road was left untouched while their houses were razed.
Residents said they used to pay property tax, electricity and water bills regularly. He claimed that the 59 residents had also obtained a stay order against any demolition drive and asked for two more days, a request that was ignored.
Huda Estate officer Manav Mallick said, “No stay has been imposed by the court and notices have already been sent.” Malik said that about seven acres of illegally occupied government land has been freed. He said that HUDA had allotted plots to 250 people on 13 acres of land, but they could not be allotted due to illegal occupation. Out of 250 plots, 50 were auctioned.
Fatehpur Colony The housing society in Sector 20 with number 79 was formed many years ago.
