The ruling YSRCP has raised the issue of distribution of housing sites as a major poll issue and has labeled the opposition TDP as “anti-poor”.
The party is also running an aggressive campaign on social media highlighting how the chief minister kept his promise of providing houses to the poor despite the odds.
Meanwhile, officials are running against the deadline to complete the arrangements for the chief minister’s public meeting.
Ministers and MLAs are doing rounds of the venue and monitoring the facilities as a large number of people are expected to attend the event. In view of the scorching heat, the officials have been asked to keep enough quantity of drinking water and buttermilk packets.
