Bhopal: BJP government taking a big decision before the assembly elections Madhya Pradesh It was announced on Tuesday that all unauthorized colonies built till December 31, 2022 would be regularised. Assembly elections are due in the state by the end of the year.
Chouhan said that no development fee will be demanded from the people living in these colonies and the houses will be regularized as they are in such condition.
“All unauthorized colonies that have come into existence will be regularized by December 31, 2022. Necessary funds will be allocated for the development of these colonies, especially for creation of necessary infrastructure like electricity and water supply,” he said.
The chief minister, however, warned the officials that they would be responsible for illegal colonies coming up beyond December 31.
He said that after regularization the residents of these colonies would be able to get bank loans and for them allocation could be made from MP/MLAs Local Area Development Fund.
Chouhan said that people should form Resident Welfare Association for proper development of their colonies and appealed to pay special attention to cleanliness.
Urban Administration and Development Minister Bhupendra Singh said that since December 31, 2016, at least 6,077 colonies are being regularised.
He urged the Chief Minister to extend the cut-off date to December 31, 2022, so that 2,500 more colonies could get the benefit.
Neeraj Mandloi, Principal Secretary, Urban Administration Department said that permission for the construction of 1,122 such colonies will be issued from Tuesday and 500 letters are being distributed to the beneficiaries across the state.
He said that the process of regularization would be completed by June 30.
The Chief Minister also directed that the poor coming to the cities should be provided food at the rate of Rs. 5 per person under the Deendayal Rasoi Yojana.
Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang and Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai and others were present on the occasion.
