Gurugram: Department of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) has issued a show cause notice to the developer of Emerald Hills The complaint was filed after CM Window alleged that a commercial club has been constructed at the site designated for a community center in violation of norms in the society.
The developer has now been directed to remove the unauthorized structure and submit its reply within a week, failing which the department will initiate action as per the provisions of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975.
In the complaint, the residents urged the authorities to restore the community center on the site and allow residents to use the facility that charges a membership fee. They allege that the developer has also violated the terms of the license.
“Why do residents have to go to court for such issues, spending time, money and energy? DTCP It must be ensured that such violations do not take place,” said the residents and alleged that the membership of the club is now open to non-residents as well. He also claimed that the building is used for wedding ceremonies.
District Town Planner (Enforcement) Manish Yadav confirmed that a complaint has been lodged with his office alleging illegal construction of a commercial club at the site designated for the community center in violation of section 3B of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act 1975. was done.
The developer has been directed to immediately remove the illegal construction and bring the building as per the approved plan and appear in the office within seven days to respond to the notice, failing which legal action will be taken against him.
