CRDA allots additional land to Guntur, NTR districts for house sites, et realestate

Amaravati : The Capital Region Development Authority ,CRDA) has allotted 268 acres of land after the request of the District Collectors of Guntur And NTR,

This is in addition to the 1,134 acres of land already allotted for releasing housing sites to the poor in the capital city region.

District Collector of Guntur And NTR requested separately from CRDA To allot additional land as the available land was found insufficient to provide housing sites to all the applicants.

Soon after receiving the request from the District Collectors, Y Srilakshmi, Special Chief Secretary Municipal Administration, suggested that the CRDA take an immediate decision to provide the additional land required by the District Collectors. Soon, the CRDA’s Land Allotment Screening Committee (LASC) met on Tuesday and gave its nod for the allotment of additional land to the respective district collectors.

While NTR district will get 168 acres, Guntur district will get 100 acres. Earlier, the CRDA had given 584 acres to NTR district and 550 acres to Guntur district.

The land in Borupalem, Ananthavaram and Pichchukpalem villages was left to NTR district and the land in Nekkallu village was given to Guntur district.

Sources said NTR district collector Delhi Rao told them that the 584 acres allotted to them was enough to issue pattas to 20,684 people, while another 168 acres is required to issue pattas to 6,055 applicants.

Similarly, Guntur District Collector M Venugopal Reddy said 550 acres of land had been allotted to 19,818 people.

Another 3,417 applications were pending for allotment, he said. He wanted to allot another 100 acres to clear all applications for house sites. The state government created a new sector (R-5) specifically to house the poor within the limits of the CRDA.

The Guntur district administration has put the work in the proposed layout on a fast track and has decided to complete the entire work by May 12. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy is expected to distribute house sites to the poor on May 15.
