Bhubaneswar: Three premium housing projects being constructed in the city Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA), are nearing completion and should be ready for potential buyers by the end of this year, officials said on Saturday.
Two out of three housing projects coming up Kalinga Nagar on the K9A and K9B respectively. While K9A is a 10-storey commercial-cum-residential building, K9B is a five-storey residential complex. The second project is coming up at Subudhipur.
“The construction of the K9B project is almost complete. Advertisement for the project will be released in a fortnight and the allotment will start accordingly. We expect to complete the other two projects by December,” BDA planning member Gauri Shankar Bhuiyan Said.
All the housing complexes are equipped with many amenities like parks, open spaces, greenery, sewage treatment plant, zero discharge facility and 24/7 water and electricity supply, officials said.
The project at K9A, named Kharavela Complex, is being built at a cost of Rs 59 crore and will have 56 3BHK and 14 4BHK for the high-income group. Sources said the ground floor and first floors would be used for commercial purposes.
On the other hand, a Rs 27.50-crore complex in K9B, named Daya Enclave, will have 128 2BHKs for the middle-income group. The officials are planning to start the allotment process by the end of this year.
The project named Ekamra Residency at Subudhipur is being built at a cost of Rs 199.64 crore and will be a 14-storey structure built with state-of-the-art technology. The residency will have 416 2BHK and 288 3BHK for middle as well as high income groups.
Apart from these premium projects, the BDA is also executing several affordable housing projects in the city for the people belonging to the low income group and economically weaker sections of the society.
