New Delhi: The D.D.A conducted a draw for 1,093 families to rehabilitate residents of JJ Cluster But Jalorewala Bagh area here, as part of an in situ rehabilitation project, officials said on Thursday. A senior official said that the draw was conducted on Wednesday.

It states that in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of providing housing to all, 376 slum clusters are being rehabilitated in-situ by the DDA.

Officials said that the objective of the rehabilitation project is to provide better and healthier living environment to the residents of JJ Cluster with proper amenities and facilities.

At the Jalorewala Bagh site, 1,675 EWS flats of 400 sq ft (424.1 sq ft, including circulation area) are likely to be ready for possession by July 31. The total cost of construction carried out by the DDA on the project is Rs 421.81 crore, it said. a statement.

Eligible families will have to pay Rs 1.71 lakh (Rs 1,41,000 as beneficiary contribution for the flat + Rs 30,000 as maintenance charges for five years).

The urban body said that the DDA would give a subsidy of about Rs 24 lakh to each flat.

Each flat has two rooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, a toilet and a balcony with all civic amenities with a covered area of ​​400 sq ft (424.1 sq ft, including circulation area).

The flats have been constructed using the latest MIVAN technology, where all components of the buildings are made of concrete.

Each tower has an open entertaining space on the eighth floor. Tower C has community facilities like community hall, four shops, anganwadi, a classroom, a doctor’s clinic, children’s daycare centre. Officials said that there is a provision of lift in each tower.

11,024 sqm basement area has been made for parking. Besides, there is a provision for surface parking, he said.

Adequate green space of 9257.70 sqm has been provided within the project site. There is a provision for STP which is based on MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) technology, the statement said.

there is a triple water supply system; Drinking water will be provided by the Delhi Jal Board. Non-potable water requirements will be met from treated groundwater and treated water from sewage treatment plants.

The site is surrounded by a boundary wall for the safety and security of the residents. This is the second in situ rehabilitation project of DDA.
