New Delhi: Delhi Development Authority ,D.D.A) will come out with a 2023 housing plan in May, senior officials said, adding that the list would include around 23,000 new EWS and LIG flats, mostly in Narela suburb.
“We are expecting that the agenda for starting the scheme will be placed in the April meeting and as soon as it is approved, we will start inviting applications from May. Before this process the flats will be priced and allotted is done through computerized draw,” said an official.
DDA will do all possible marketing/promotion for these new flats to ensure maximum feedback. “To boost sales, the authority will also give benefits of amended Housing Regulation 1968 to buyers,” said an official. With the addition of new flats, the DDA will have 40,000 unsold flats. Around 16,000 flats remained unsold under the old schemes deemed too expensive and lacking metro connectivity. “To improve its sales potential, the DDA has taken several measures, including improving transport infrastructure, construction of Urban Extension Road-II, allowing amalgamation of flats, allotment on first-come-first-served basis and certain concessions,” the official said. measures were taken.”
