Noida: The Noida Authority decided to issue recovery certificate (RC) for builders who owe huge amount in land dues but are not showing any interest in schemes like rescheduling and flat-wise payment to clear their liabilities.
The rescheduling scheme, meant to provide relief to developers who owe huge liabilities to the authority to pay the amount in installments over two years, will expire in the next 15 days, but so far only two builders have the facility. have come forward to take advantage of
Officials said that if the defaulter builders do not clear the dues even after the RC is issued, their properties may be attached and then auctioned to recover the amount.

There are 34 such projects which are under construction and Rs 6,560 crore is outstanding in arrears.

The official informed that the authority will also organize special camps to facilitate home buyers and builders to expedite the registry process.
Along with this, the officials of the Group Housing Department will start the registry of flats in Amrapali projects in coordination with the court receiver appointed by the Supreme Court. 14 Amrapali and Unitech projects pending in the Supreme Court have outstanding dues of Rs 13,850 crore.
The officials were also directed to take necessary action in respect of the liabilities of the 14 projects which are in the National Company Law Tribunal.NCLT) after taking legal opinion. They have a total outstanding of Rs 4,109 crore.
