CPM state secretary assures houses for 3.4 lakh landless people in Kerala

Idukki: LDF government has decided to resolve all land related issues in districts including Idukki by distributing land pattas (land documents) to all poor, CPM state secretary MV Govindan Where is it? He was speaking at a rally held in Thodupuzha on Thursday as part of a statewide generic resistance group under his leadership.

“Once this yatra is over, the land related issues will be resolved. The poor families who have land will be given pattas. For the landless, the government will first issue at least three cents of land and then houses will be built with government assistance. The government will ensure that no person in the state will be left homeless.

He further said that according to the data available with the government, 3,42,000 people do not have land and house. The government will find 15,000 acres of land for these landless. For 1.5 lakh people who have land but no house, the government will provide house through various welfare schemes.

“While the BJP government at the Center has adopted Adani and Ambani, the LDF government has adopted the poorest of the poor and we are determined to bring them into the mainstream,” Govindan said. The public has now come to know that central agencies, opposition and media are targeting the LDF government and have made up their mind to support the government. Hence, people are participating in yatra-related rallies in large numbers, he said.

Govidan said, “The BJP-RSS alliance is making all out efforts to rewrite our constitution and make India a Hindu Rashtra by 2025. They are trying to take the country back to the old caste system of Chaturvarnyam. ”

He also hit out at the UDF saying that the protest by the front has failed. “KPCC president K Sudhakaran is now taking the help of media to make his protest a success. This in itself is an indication that the cess was imposed with the objective of giving welfare pension to 62 lakh beneficiaries and the public is accepting it.
