Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Housing Board ,chb) on Wednesday issued a notification to cut its transfer fee commercial Property. The fee is at par with the rates of the UT Estate Office.
The transfer fee for commercial properties sold through competitive bidding process (Auction/Tender) for pending and fresh applications by CHB has been done on the lines of Estate Office.
Presently, CHB is charging a transfer fee of Rs. 7 lakhs or 7% of the current collector rate, whichever is higher.
On February 2, the board of directors of CHB had approved the proposal under the chairmanship of CHB and UT advisor Dharam Pal.
The publication fee has been reduced to half from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 10,000; Keeping these on a par with publication fees for other properties for commercial properties. However, for commercial properties allotted other than through auction/tender process; The CHB is charging 25% of the UEI on the lines of the fees charged by the Estate Office, Chandigarh Administration, and will continue to do so.
The CHB also notified an order allowing amalgamation of two or more commercial units on the lines of an estate office. The CHB was allowing amalgamation of two commercial units with only one ownership. Now, more than two business units under the same ownership can also be amalgamated. In case of further tenancy, two units of separate ownership may also be amalgamated.
Amalgamation of two or more adjacent sites (SCO, SCF, Bay Shop and Booth) under the same ownership is permitted.
Partial amalgamation of floors as temporary arrangement, if two adjacent commercial units are owned separately and both the buildings are let out to one party, entrance/openings of size 1.80 m (6′-0″) wide may be permitted Connectivity on each floor till the tenancy is in force subject to taking an affidavit from the owners of the SCO.
