Notably, the five-storey Alaya Apartments, which recently collapsed claiming three lives, was also constructed by Yazdan Builders.
Filing the FIR, Shukla said that he had booked two flats in 2015 in Alaya Heritage Apartment Project.
He said that the builders claim that the project is being constructed as per the norms prescribed by UP RERA and the LDA has also approved the same. The builders had promised to give the possession of the flats by 2018-19.
“The construction of the project got delayed and the wait got longer due to the coronavirus pandemic. In 2022, we came to know that the construction has been declared illegal and the building has been demolished. I came to know that the documents of the building were there. forged,” he claimed.
He said, “When I asked for my money back, the owners refused to do so. They abused me and threatened me with dire consequences. Whatever I earned in my life as a cricketer, I spent on flats. Gave everything for it.”
Hazratganj SHO Akhilesh Mishra said that an FIR has been lodged against Sayam Yazdani, Fahad Yazdani, Aleem Chaudhary, Sharafat Ali, Shruti and Faji Ahmed.
