Hyderabad, Income tax (IT) officials have carried out searches at three real estate firms in the city to probe possible tax evasion.
Several IT teams raided several offices on Wednesday Urjita Builders And Developers, Shree Aditya Homes and in other firms and their promoters Jubilee Hills, Banjara HillsKarkhana, Madhapur, Gandhipet and other areas.
IT sleuths were probing possible tax evasion as some real estate companies have recently sold villas in Gandhipet, Narsingi, Kokapet, Nanakramguda and other localities in the western part of the city with price tags of 25-35 crores.
“A good amount is paid in cash. Hence, we have conducted searches to trace both the buyers and the real estate firms.
The city is witnessing a series of IT searches on top realty firms.
