New Delhi: Delhi Real Estate regulator authority (RERA) has directed a leading real estate developer not to take any new bookings, enter into “contract for sale” or collect more money from allottees till two pending issues at its high-end housing complex in Chhatarpur – its Revaluation of finished building plan and land title – resolved.
Keeping in view the records that the builder, splendid etoilebuilt it’Sky MansionProject on the disputed land, the order passed by RERA Chairman Anand Kumar and two other members said, “Since, the dispute over the land having 10 ‘Biswas’ in village Chandan Hola is still not resolved and the consolidation of land in the village is yet to be done. Not to be notified, we direct the District Magistrate and the Deputy Commissioner to give a specific report regarding the ownership of the land on which the ‘Sky Mansion’ project is coming up.
The project was registered with RERA in July 2018 and the original schedule of completion was August, 2021. The regulator had in June 2020 given an extension of nine months till May to complete the project due to the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. this year. The builder has sought further extension of registration till February 2023 due to the second wave of COVID-19.
According to the order posted on the Delhi-RERA website, the validity of the approved building plan expired in March this year and the validity of the registration expired in May.
After the builder sought extension of the validity of the approved building plan from the MCD, RERA did not order stoppage of work but directed not to take any fresh bookings or collect more money from the allottees till further orders.
