Gurugram: The Haryana Housing Board has decided to build houses for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) people in Sector 9 hsvp land.
Housing board officials said the proposed houses would be allotted to below poverty line (BPL) families and the beneficiaries would be identified through Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP).
Urban Local Bodies Minister Kamal Gupta on Friday inspected the land identified by the HSVP for the housing scheme and directed the officials of the Haryana Housing Board to prepare the plan for the housing scheme. On the lines of PM Awas Yojana, Haryana Government has now announced “CM Awas Yojana” to provide housing to the poor and needy.
“Under this scheme, we aim to provide a roof to all families below the poverty line,” Gupta said. The state government is conducting a survey and those who are below the poverty line will be eligible for housing under the scheme. Beneficiaries will be identified through PPP.
Low cost housing for EWS households was sanctioned by the HSVP in October 2009 under its Integrated Housing and Slum Dwellers Program (IHSDP) to provide clean living space with basic amenities to the slum dwellers.
